All BSAC diver training courses delivered through BSAC clubs like Lisburn Sub Aqua Club, are delivered by qualified instructors over a series of weekly evening sessions and weekend open water training, with the opportunity for regular diving to hone your skills.
At Lisburn Sub Aqua Club diving skills are taught progressively so that each new experience is built upon step by step. Following basic training in the safety of the swimming pools at the LeisurePlex, students soon complete their first open water dives to achieve Ocean Diver certification. This progression continues to Sports Diver and beyond, where open water skills and techniques are further developed and experience gained.
If you’re keen to learn to dive BSAC’s Ocean Diver course with Lisburn Sub Aqua Club is the place to start. This entry-level diving qualification will equip you with the core skills to dive to a maximum of 20 metres in open water, in the UK and abroad.
If you already have some diving experience with an entry-level qualification and want to take your underwater adventures to the next level, Sports Diver is your next step in BSAC’s Diver Training Programme.
You will broaden your experience in a variety of challenging open-water conditions, and learn essential techniques to prepare you for diving to a maximum of 35 metres.
This course is perfect for BSAC members who want to take a more active role in their club.
As a Dive Leader you become an essential team member helping to organise activities at your BSAC club.
The training also prepares you to dive to depths of up to 50 metres in a range of challenging conditions, following a series of post-qualification depth progression dives.
To enrol on a Dive Leader course you must have successfully completed a Sport Diver course (or have equivalent certification from another recognised training agency).
