From the very first time you breathe underwater, scuba diving will inspire, challenge and surprise you.

Many divers say that it is life-changing and, with the sense of achievement that comes with learning to dive, it is easy to see why.

It’s fun to learn and, from age 14 with Lisburn Sub Aqua Club you can get diving qualifications that are recognised around the world.

Try Dives

Join one of our certified instructors for a Try Dive.

It’s a great way to find out about SCUBA diving and actually get to try it for yourself in the pool.

Try dives take place on a Tuesday night in the swimming pools at Lagan valley Leisureplex and start at 8pm.

It’s great fun, but don’t take our word for it, turn up the sound on the video and see what some of our Try Divers had to say about their experience in the video.

What you’ll need & what happens

You will need to be age 14 or over, bring your swimming gear, a T shirt to wear in the pool, and be able to swim two lengths (50m).

We provide the rest of the equipment you will need.

There’s a quick chat about the club and learning to dive before your Instructor shows you how to build up the SCUBA gear. We head over to the pool for 9.30pm and have an hour in the water.

Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

How much does it cost?

To help us cover the costs involved there is a charge of £20.

If you know someone who is interested in diving, a try dive experience can make a great gift too.

We can organise gift vouchers but to avoid dissappointment please make sure the recipient is in normal health, aged 14 or over and can swim two lengths of the pool.
